Restart VPN Connection on Mikrotik

At times due to load balancing,a vpn connection stops working and crm systems,radius servers or remote access may stop working.Here is a script to disable vpn and re enable

Navigate to scheduler,

Click add new scheduler.

Paste the following code on Event

Set time to run every 1 minute

KVM Acceleration cannot be Used.

KVM acceleration cannot be used (/dev/kvm doesn’t exist). It is possible to turn off KVM support in the gns3_server.conf by adding enable_kvm = false to the [Qemu] section.

This error occurs while i was using mikrotik on GNS3 for the first time.

How i solved it

 vim ~/.config/GNS3/2.2/gns3_server.conf

1	vim ~/.config/GNS3/2.2/gns3_server.conf

Add the following snippet at the end of the file

[Qemu]
enable_kvm=false

1 2	[Qemu] enable_kvm=false

Restart the mikrotik on gns3

The ‘gns3-gui==2.2.23’ distribution was not found

I experienced this error in Ubuntu Hirsute Hippo (21.04)The complete error when i run gns3 on terminal

File “/usr/lib/python3/dist-packages/pkg_resources/init.py”, line 777, in resolveraise DistributionNotFound(req, requirers)pkg_resources.DistributionNotFound: The ‘gns3-gui==2.2.23’ distribution was not found and is required by the application

To resolve this error

sudo apt remove gns3

sudo apt remove gns3-server

Update your Ubuntu

sudo apt update
sudo apt upgrade
sudo apt dist-upgrade
sudo apt install update-manager-core

do-release-upgrade

Re-Install GNS 3

influxdb bind: address already in use

Event:

This occurs after typing influxdb to launch the influxdb terminal

Solution

Type influx instead to launch terminal

This error occurs after pasting a command to install influxdb

sudo curl -sL https://repos.influxdata.com/influxdb.key | sudo apt-key add –

Solution

The error occurs because of the dash at the end of the command and is interpreted as a unicode character rather than the ascii hypen
